Privacy policy
Webiant Inc. (“Webiant”, “we”) operates webiant.com. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- Details you send us. When you book a demo or email us, we receive your name, company, email address, phone number if you provide one, the product you are interested in, your requested meeting time and time zone, and anything you write in the notes field.
- Basic technical data. Our web server records the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit, as almost all web servers do, for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics. If analytics is enabled on this site, it records aggregate visit data such as pages viewed and approximate region. It is not used to identify you personally.
Why we use it
We use what you send us to arrange and run your demo, answer your question, and follow up about the product you asked about. We use technical data to keep the site working and secure. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Demo requests and enquiries are kept for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and then for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Who processes it
Form submissions are delivered by email through our hosting provider's mail service and stored in our company mailbox. Where we use third-party services for hosting, email or analytics, those providers process the data on our behalf under their own terms.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@webiant.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
Children
This site sells business software and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Cookies
This site does not require cookies to function. If analytics or an embedded third-party service is enabled, it may set cookies to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without losing access to anything on this site.
Terms of use
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
- The content here is provided for general information about our products and services. It is not a contract, a quotation, or professional advice for your specific environment.
- Do not use this site to attempt unauthorised access, disrupt its operation, scrape it at a volume that degrades service, or submit unlawful or misleading content through our forms.
- Booking a demo is a request, not a confirmed appointment. A time is only booked once we confirm it by email.
- We may change this site, our products and these terms at any time. The version published here is the one that applies.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
License & ownership
Our products — D365 Data Migrator and AX2012 R2/R3 Code Promotor — are delivered as PowerShell source code. Licence terms are set out in the agreement you sign when you buy, and that agreement governs. In outline, and subject to it:
- You receive the source code and may read, modify and extend it for use inside your own organisation, including in production.
- You may keep using your copy of the code indefinitely, including any modifications you make to it.
- Webiant retains ownership of the original code and of its intellectual property. A licence to use and modify is not a transfer of ownership of the underlying work.
- Redistributing, reselling, sublicensing or publishing the code, in whole or in substantial part, outside your organisation is not permitted without our written agreement.
- Support and updates are provided as described in your agreement.
Warranty & liability
Our products automate operations that write to your systems, including data loads and production deployments. You are responsible for testing in a non-production environment first, and for maintaining current, restorable backups before running anything against production.
Except as expressly stated in a signed agreement, this website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Webiant is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profit or revenue, arising from use of this website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Trademarks
Microsoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX, SQL Server, Excel and PowerShell are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Other product and company names mentioned here are the trademarks of their respective owners. Webiant is an independent company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft.
